A new book on leadership and management about Nigeria’s new regime has been scheduled to be launched during its first year in office May, 2016, and would evaluate President Muhamadu Buhari’s past and present stewardships. The book titled “Governance Buhari’s Way” would evaluate his past and present governance approaches, as well as address critical leadership issues the regime faces. The Author, Dr Anthony Obi Ogbo says the book would converse the handle of leadership in the executive structure and scrutinize President Buhari’s leadership philosophies, practice, and shortfalls with constructive solutions for progress.
“The focus is on President Buhari. He is the President, and evaluating his styles and sharing constructive solutions to impending challenges of governance is our business,” Dr. Ogbo said. Nigerians did not quite take President Buhari’s first 100-day very serious because his followers had argued that such period was too short to assess a constitutionally allowed four-year position, but critics differ – bashing the presidency for leading a very sluggish start. This new book lunch coincides with President Buhari’s first year in office and would further update Nigerians about the regime’s handle of their country’s social, political, and economic prospects.
According to Dr. Ogbo, “It is basically a book on leadership and the applicable tools to appropriately lead people, their resources, and the connecting elements. While the subject is President Buhari, most chapters and passages in the book would invoke fundamental concepts in effective leadership and explain misapplication of the leadership rules in the executive structure. The good thing is that these concepts could also replicate in other leadership or management settings.”
Dr. Ogbo’s last book was released a few months ago. Titled “The Influence of Leadership”, the publication was a scholarly research: a qualitative phenomenological research study about Nigerian citizens living through a political, economic, social, and cultural phenomena of leadership catastrophe. Co-publishers of the book, the American Journal of Transformational Leadership wrote in a release that details of the lunch of the new book would be made public early next year.
