Houston Planned Parenthood joins lawsuit against those who exposed them

Center for Medical Progress filmed the videos that have been at the center of the expose of the abortion syndicate. The video series included damning videos of what was apparently both the practice of selling baby body parts, and altering the positions of these babies during the abortion process in order to be able to procure intact organs so they could be sold.

A Harris County, Texas (Houston) grand jury declined to indict Houston’s Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast in January but indicted the two persons who were involved in the undercover videos.

As reported by Breitbart News, Planned Parenthood’s national organzation and its California affiliate filed a lawsuit against the CMP in January.

In the lawsuit, Planned Parenthood called Center for Medical Progress:

[A] complex criminal enterprise conceived and executed by anti-abortion extremists. The express aim of the enterprise – which stretched over years and involved fake companies, fake identifications, and large-scale illegal taping – was to demonize Planned Parenthood, harass and intimidate its dedicated staff, and interrupt its operations, all with the ultimate goal of interfering with women’s access to legal abortion.

At the time the lawsuit was filed, David Daleiden, one of the videographers responded, “Game On.”

On the day the lawsuit was filed, CMP fired back saying there were still four questions about Planned Parenthood’s barbaric and potentially illegal activities that have not been answered:

  1. How much money total did Planned Parenthood receive from StemExpress from 2010 to 2015?
  2. Why is Planned Parenthood’s Senior Director of Medical Services talking about manipulating fetuses to breech position to get better organs?
  3. Why did a Planned Parenthood Medical Director endorse a StemExpress advertisement for “financial profits” from fetal tissue donation if Planned Parenthood does not support profiting from fetal tissue?
  4. Since the President of the Medical Directors’ Council said “we didn’t really have to do anything” when letting Novogenix Laboratories, LLC harvest fetal tissue, why did Novogenix pay Planned Parenthood?

The executive vice president of the abortion mill said the CMP “colluded wth right-wing state legislators and members of Congress” to attack them. She also called Daleidon and his associate, Sandra Merritt, “some of the nation’s most extreme anti-abortion activists.”

The January 2016 lawsuit by Planned Parenthood lists the two aliases used by Daleidon and Merritt when acting as undercover buyers of baby body parts – “Robert Sarkis, and “Susan Tennenbaum.”

As reported by Breitbart Texas, Daleidon and Merritt were indicted in Harris County in January of this year. The pair were indicted by a grand jury for tampering with a government record.

The grand jury declined to take any action against the Houston-based Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast.

Texas leaders responded to the indictments of the pro-life activists by vowing to continue their investigation into the practices at Texas abortion facilities.

The undercover video involving the Planned Parenthood abortion facility in Houston was the fifth released by Daleiden. As reported by Breitbart News’ Austin Ruse, it shows the director of Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, Melissa Farrell, discussing the sale of whole intact aborted babies and discussing the altering of the abortion process in order to obtain whole intact babies.

In the video (which is included the Breitbart News article), Farrell talks about “specimens” ranging from 14 to 22 weeks in gestational age and says she has six “providers” who will abort babies that are older than sixteen weeks.

As reported by Ruse, the video shows Farrell talking about “diversification of the revenue stream.” Moreover, when she is complimented on her financial background and her ability to see the financial benefits in buying and selling fetal body parts, she does not correct the investigator who complimented her. She also does not deny that Planned Parenthood is in the business for financial gain.

As reported by Breitbart News after the video was released, the Houston Planned Parenthood director nods and agrees that her department “contributes so much to the bottom line” and says her research department is the largest of all other similar departments at the abortion provider combined. Planned Parenthood and StemExpress, the primary purchaser of aborted baby organs, deny that the organs are sold for a profit. They claim any funds obtained cover reasonable expenses.

Breitbart Texas was at a press conference in early August 2015 when Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick asked Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson to investigate Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast. His request came just a day after the release of the fifth video.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott responded to the failure of the grand jury to indict the Houston abortion affiliate by saying, “The Health and Human Service Commission’s Inspector General and the Attorney General’s office have an ongoing investigation into Planned Parenthood’s actions. Nothing about today’s announcement in Harris County impacts the state’s ongoing investigation.” Abbott continued, “The State of Texas will continue to protect life, and I will continue to support legislation prohibiting the sale or transfer of fetal tissue.”

Federal law provdes that it is illegal to sell the body parts of aborted babies for profit. The exception to that is where a patient consents and the body parts are used for medical research. Federal law allows reimbursement for basic costs associated with transporting, processing, and storing of this human tissue or organs for research.

Daleidon and Merritt are scheduled to appear in Harris County Criminal District Court on Monday, March 28.

In addition to the indictment for tampering with a government document in connection with the false driver license he used, Daleiden was also charged under the statute relating to the purchase or sale of human organs, as reported by Breitbart Texas.

Texas Penal Code section 48.02 provides that it is a Class A misdemeanor if a person “knowingly or intentionally offers to buy, offers to sell, acquires, receives, sells, or otherwise transfers any human organ for valuable consideration.” “Fetal tissue” is included within the definition of “human organ.”

Pro-life activists have decried the indictments of Daleidon and Merritt. As to the indictment of Daleiden for offering to acquire a human organ for valuable consideration, pro-lifers urge that Daleidon was obviously acting as an undercover investigative journalist and had no intent to actually purchase any human organ or fetal tissue.

Building on 7457 Harwin is one of the buildings where allegedly a United Airlines pilot was running brothels. Thursday, March 24, 2016, in Houston.

A United Airlines pilot has been arrested and accused of running a string of brothels in apartment complexes and office buildings throughout Houston.

Bruce Wayne Wallis, 51, was charged with aggravated promotion of prostitution and engaging in criminal activity in what officials said included about a half-dozen brothels in Galleria-area apartments and northwest Houston office buildings with six to 10 women.

Assistant Harris County District Attorney Lester Blizzard said the criminal operation was “massive.”

“It’s the largest operation that I’ve ever worked on,” he said. “(District Attorney) Devon Anderson’s office takes these types of complex organized criminal activity cases seriously.”

Court records show that investigators believe the women advertised online and paid Wallis $400 a week to ply their trade. He’s also accused of recruiting five women at time and having sex with them before putting them to work as prostitutes. Several of the women appeared to be Russian.

Officials with United confirmed that Wallis was an employee and said he had been taken off of flying duties.

Also charged is an alleged top lieutenant to Wallis. Tracie Tanner, 37, of Rosenberg, is facing charges of aggravated promotion of prostitution. Eighteen other women were also charged with prostitution after the eight-month investigation.

Wallis is also accused of using Eastex Aero, his flight school and charter service in Porter, north of Houston, as a front to make sure the women who worked for him had a “legitimate” employment records and financial statements, according to court records.

If convicted, Wallis faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison. Tanner faces up to 10 years in prison.

Prosecutor Blizzard said 26 search warrants were served this week in a flurry of activity culminating Wednesday with Wallis’s arrest. No clients were arrested, he said.

Blizzard credited investigators with the Texas Department Public Safety and the human trafficking division of the Houston Police Department for cracking the case.

The Board running to the limits of any resolution sought and obtained this Temporary Restraining Order from the 215th Judicial District Court in Harris County, Texas on the 4th of March, 2016, preventing Dr. Umez from parading himself as the organization’s president.

The 215th Judicial District Court in Harris County, Texas has set for April 15, 2016, a Temporary Restraining Order and Show Cause Order of some ousted officers of the Nigerian Foundation executives accused of resisting constitutional directives. The order was originally signed March 4th, 2016, but the ousted individuals were being accused of defying Court’s instructions by conducting and presiding meetings on behalf of the organization. The hearing would apparently put to rest, an ongoing standoff between the Nigerian Foundation Board and the expelled executive members who have been trading memos since the dissolution of the executives, December 11, 2015.

The board, it may be recalled, had on December 11th, 2015, dissolved the Executive Committees led by Dr. Bedford Umez, citing specific grounds contrary to the organization’s laws. Dr. Umez had assumed responsibilities in April 2015 as the president, under a statutory supervision of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. The Nigerian Foundation founded in 1982 is a Non-Profit Texas Corporation governed by its Board of Directors who make policy decisions and supervise the executives and their general operations.

Dr. Umez, it was gathered, completely defied his expulsion, claiming the Board’s actions were not legitimate. He had after his removal convened meetings, and carried out tasks proclaiming his leadership. It was also gathered that efforts were unsuccessfully made by stakeholders of the organization to persuade Dr. Umez to comply with the Board’s orders and new structures.

Board Chairman, Chief Raymond Sowemimo referred our reporter to the press releases and asked that further question be directed to their group’s attorney, James O. Okorafor. Dr. Umez was yet to respond as of press time.

Houstonians awaits OPM’s deliverance service May 22

opmStaff Writer  | International Guardian, Houston, TX.

All roads would be leading to the Omega Power Ministries (OPM) on 10901 Bras Bend/Creek Bend Drive, South-West Houston Texas, Sunday, May 22, for an all-day prayer reinforcement crusade and one-on-one counselling by the group’s general overseer, Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Chinyere. Apostle Chinyere will arrive from Nigeria to preside the event which starts 8.00 am.

Pastor of the branch, Godwin Ebhoma assured that arrangements to coordinate and accommodate worshippers have been concluded, urging guests to arrive on time to partake in what he described as a major “spiritual revolution for restoration of lives and expectations.” According to Pastor Godwin, “Modern day challenges are obviously beyond human control and that is why you see most people facing similar live challenges over and over. GO’s visit is an honor. This very day would make a difference in peoples’ lives – and I can tell you that testimonies would be overwhelming.”

Apostle Chinyere who spoke to International Guardian from Nigeria said that his restoration messages, deliverance, and humanitarian engagements are inspired by the spirit of the Lord.  According to the Man of God, “The ill wind that pervades the society demands this intervention. Joel 2:25-26  was specific on this issue, and I quote, “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.” A manifestation of this and many more messages would be witnessed in this upcoming event, it was gathered.

wedding OPM
■ Wedding Bells from Above….On February 20, Apostle Chinyere and the OPM in Nigeria coordinated and sponsored the wedding of 140 couples in Nigeria, including a 72-year old man with his 60-year old spouse.

Testimonies from church service guests and members are a confirmation of the healing power of God. According to one Sister Blessing, a cancer survivor who claimed her ailment was miraculously expunged after a prayer session at the OPM, Houston, said, “I am thanking God for healing me. The doctor diagnosed that I had 375 cancerous cells. I told the pastor, he prayed for me, and I also kept the situation in prayers. Each time I went for checkup at the clinic, the cancerous cells reduced gradually. After continuous prayers, the cells reduced to 70 cells and after the last checkup, Doctor Jesus turned 375 cells to zero cancerous cells in my body. I just want to use this opportunity to testify to the Almighty God, that I am well and alive. Being a mother of four what would have happened if my situation got worse. I just want to bless the Lord.”

Another churchgoer, Sister Funmi narrated a miraculous elevation of her living after her OPM experience.  “When I got to this Country, I had no job and no residential documents. The fact I had no residential documents limited me to a lot of things including transportation. It was not easy for me. I kept on believing in God after prayer intervention at the OPM – that God will change my situation. And truly he did, I’m grateful to God that I got a lovely job, my own car and my green card” she said.
Over the years, the OPM’s has stretched it appendages to accommodate a growing Houston populace. For instance, In June 2014, Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Chinyere inaugurated the city’s second branch on 3820 South Dairy Ashford Road. Almost two years, it may be recalled, that the OPM opened its first Houston branch now on 10901 Bras Bend/Creek Bend Drive, on South-West.

Calls of testimonies at the OPM are like a trademark. Videos of confessions and testaments are posted all over the social media outlets while most other beneficiaries of God’s Blessings come to the church events to share their experiences. One Sister Gifty narrated a reversal of her pregnancy complications. She said, “I have been pregnant for 14 months, during the 14 months I went through a lot of stress and pain. To be honest, it wasn’t easy for me, until when I came to OPM for the first time during the night vigil service. The pastor prayed for me and anointed me. He asked the whole church to gather round and pray for me. The following week I delivered safely to a bouncy baby just like the Hebrew women.”

In a similar situation, a cancer-survivor, Bro Gregory said he was diagnosed with cancer, and was going through chemotherapy when he received prayers from the pastor and also took the blessed water from church with faith. He continued, “I kept on praying and to the glory of God and to the shame of the devil I am cancer free, my Doctor had to confess to me that this is a miracle, because he couldn’t believe what had happened. Today I don’t have to go to the hospital for cancer treatment. I am healed and healthy, happy and strong –  may the Lord’s name be praised.”

Houston’s `global and multi-cultural appeal have attracted varieties of ethnic development worldwide, and OPM knew that. According to the United States Census Bureau, Houston, with 2.3 million residents, is the fourth most populous city in the United States, trailing only New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. The city is the largest in the South and the Southwest, holding the highest number of African immigrants with Nigeria being the most prominent. According to Apostle Chibuzor (regularly called Daddy by church members), “I am fascinated by the City’s growth over the years, and the fact that our people are vastly populated here. Saving the children of God from societal ills; redeeming businesses from recessions, and winning as many faiths and souls for God are my ultimate mission, and that explains why we already have two branches in Houston.”

May 22 revival and deliverance service would feature praise-worshipping, sermons, and a long awaited one-on-one counselling sessions with the General Overseer. Apostle Chinyere would dedicate this day for Houstonians.  “I would see everybody that needs counselling, one-on-one; and take time to share the message with them. That is the way God has directed me at this time” he said.
“We shall also be ready to hear testimonies to justify the power and presence of God during our worshiping and deliverance periods. As always, that is the moment I cherish most; the moment when people reveal how their lives are transformed through the healing powers of the Holy Ghost; when people using walking canes jump up and start walking without any support; when barren women regain their wombs after our prayer assignments – Just go to our website and see videos of testimonies of how people even here in Houston are saved from life tragedies, and desolations, and other unsolved mysteries,” Apostle Chinyere said.

OPM was founded in on April 23 2006 with a few Christian followers, but today, the population has been overpowering and has spread across Africa, Europe and North America. In Port Harcourt branch alone, there are more 800,000 members, and this number grows by the day. The facility on New Airport Road by Eliozu Junction, Port Harcourt has also been turned to a healing ground as people with various forms of sicknesses and other life challenges now rush to the church to receive their healings. It has become one of the most popular and fast growing churches, not only in Rivers state but across the Niger Delta region and beyond.

With more than  100 branches across Nigeria and worldwide, OPM  has also become a rallying point for people with diverse problems, sicknesses and diseases as the healing, deliverance, and emancipating power of God prevail to intervene in their challenges. The ministry has also investment in schools and remedial job training centers where admissions, tuitions, and other services are free. “We do not take from the poor; we take care of the poor,” Apostle Chinyere said. According to Apostle Chinyere, “It does not make any sense to build schools that only the affluent people can attend. That is not godly – if the poorest churchgoer cannot benefit from the same church where he or she worships, then something is not right.”

In February 20, Apostle Chinyere and the OPM in Nigeria coordinated the wedding of 140 couples including a 72-year old man with his 60-year old spouse. The motive was both spiritual and socially humanitarian. For instance, the ministry gave them money to pay bride price; bought wedding suits and gowns including shirts and tie for all the grooms; paid for marriage certificate and paid for food and drinks that were used for their reception.

According to Apostle Chinyere, “Every day I get sleepless night because of the amount of people living together when God has not joined them. It is a sin before God. Do you know that; one out of every five people you see in the street are living together without being religiously or legally married? So that is why I decided to intervene, so when Rapture occurs, they shall not be found wanting. What is a church building when the people inside the building have visa to go to Hell-fire. Salvation is better than beautiful church building. Now I can sleep well knowing that extra 140 souls have been added to the kingdom of God.”

The Sunday, May 22 reinforcement crusade and one-on-one counselling will take place on 10901 Braes Bend Houston, TX 77071. Event time is 8.00 prompt. For more information, please call 281-757-3574 or 832-475-6667.

Texas Regulators Shut Down Admissions At Houston Community College’s Nursing Program

Carrie Feibel  |  Houston Public Media

Houston Community College can’t admit new students into its associate’s degree program for registered nurses until 2017 at the earliest. The move by state regulators comes after students’ average passing rate on the national licensing exam dropped below 80 percent three years in a row.

Administrators have already identified the academic problems and fixed them, said Dr. Phil Nicotera, president of HCC’s Coleman College of Health Sciences.

“We’ve done a complete reversal,” he said.

Nicotera explained that previous administrators wanted to increase enrollment because of a national nursing shortage. Among other changes, they lowered the GPA needed for admission and tried teaching classes on an accelerated basis.

“That was very challenging for students, to try to master that much information in eight weeks,” Nicotera said. “So we went back to the 16-week format.”

Students now get more test prep and other support, Nicotera said. Scores on the national licensing exam (given periodically throughout the year) are already improving, he said. Next fall the college can ask state regulators to review average exam scores and rescind the conditional probation. It’s unclear how soon after that nursing aspirants could start applying again.

One quality problem facing nursing schools in Texas is competition for professors, according to Cindy Zolnierek, executive director of the Texas Nurses Association.

“We’ve seen a huge increase in the number of nursing schools in the state. It tremendously increases the demand for faculty, and faculty positions often pay much less than nurses are able to make in the service area, in actual clinical practice.”

The Center supports professional licensing continuing education training requirements for incumbent health care professionals.

There are about twenty schools for registered nurses in the Houston region.

Two of them, Lone Star College Kingwood and Lone Star College North Harris, were just released from warning status after two years of lower passing rates on the national exam.

But since the problem didn’t continue for a third year, they were allowed to continue admitting students. Both programs were restored to “Full Approval” status in January by the Texas Board of Nursing.

Book Preview: Governance Buhari’s Way

1757c5bd80e59662c6aa279ef376ee1aA new book on leadership and management about Nigeria’s new regime has been scheduled to be launched during its first year in office May, 2016, and would evaluate President Muhamadu Buhari’s past and present stewardships. The book titled “Governance Buhari’s Way” would evaluate his past and present governance approaches, as well as address critical leadership issues the regime faces. The Author, Dr Anthony Obi Ogbo says the book would converse the handle of leadership in the executive structure and scrutinize President Buhari’s leadership philosophies, practice, and shortfalls with constructive solutions for progress.

“The focus is on President Buhari. He is the President, and evaluating his styles and sharing constructive solutions to impending challenges of governance is our business,” Dr. Ogbo said. Nigerians did not quite take  President Buhari’s first 100-day very serious because his followers had argued that such period was too short to assess a constitutionally allowed four-year position, but critics differ – bashing the presidency for leading a very sluggish start. This new book lunch coincides with President Buhari’s first year in office and would further update Nigerians about the regime’s handle of their country’s social, political, and economic prospects.

According to Dr. Ogbo, “It is basically a book on leadership and the applicable tools to appropriately lead people, their resources, and the connecting elements. While the subject is President Buhari, most chapters and passages in the book would  invoke fundamental concepts in effective leadership and explain misapplication of the leadership rules in the executive structure. The good thing is that these concepts could also replicate in other leadership or management settings.”

Dr. Ogbo’s last book was released a few months ago. Titled “The Influence of Leadership”,  the publication was a scholarly research: a qualitative phenomenological research study about Nigerian citizens living through a political, economic, social, and cultural phenomena of leadership catastrophe. Co-publishers of the book, the American Journal of Transformational Leadership wrote in a release that details of the lunch of the new book would be made public early next year.

These businesses will also be featured in a Houston special report in the May 2016 edition of Immigrant Business Magazine.
Limited seats are currently available at a discounted rate, and registration is required to attend.
