All roads would be leading to the Omega Power Ministries (OPM) on 10901 Bras Bend/Creek Bend Drive, South-West Houston Texas, Sunday, May 22, for an all-day prayer reinforcement crusade and one-on-one counselling by the group’s general overseer, Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Chinyere. Apostle Chinyere will arrive from Nigeria to preside the event which starts 8.00 am.

Pastor of the branch, Godwin Ebhoma assured that arrangements to coordinate and accommodate worshippers have been concluded, urging guests to arrive on time to partake in what he described as a major “spiritual revolution for restoration of lives and expectations.” According to Pastor Godwin, “Modern day challenges are obviously beyond human control and that is why you see most people facing similar live challenges over and over. GO’s visit is an honor. This very day would make a difference in peoples’ lives – and I can tell you that testimonies would be overwhelming.”

Apostle Chinyere who spoke to International Guardian from Nigeria said that his restoration messages, deliverance, and humanitarian engagements are inspired by the spirit of the Lord.  According to the Man of God, “The ill wind that pervades the society demands this intervention. Joel 2:25-26  was specific on this issue, and I quote, “I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army, which I sent among you. You shall eat in plenty and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, who has dealt wondrously with you. And my people shall never again be put to shame.” A manifestation of this and many more messages would be witnessed in this upcoming event, it was gathered.

Testimonies from church service guests and members are a confirmation of the healing power of God. According to one Sister Blessing, a cancer survivor who claimed her ailment was miraculously expunged after a prayer session at the OPM, Houston, said, “I am thanking God for healing me. The doctor diagnosed that I had 375 cancerous cells. I told the pastor, he prayed for me, and I also kept the situation in prayers. Each time I went for checkup at the clinic, the cancerous cells reduced gradually. After continuous prayers, the cells reduced to 70 cells and after the last checkup, Doctor Jesus turned 375 cells to zero cancerous cells in my body. I just want to use this opportunity to testify to the Almighty God, that I am well and alive. Being a mother of four what would have happened if my situation got worse. I just want to bless the Lord.”

Another churchgoer, Sister Funmi narrated a miraculous elevation of her living after her OPM experience.  “When I got to this Country, I had no job and no residential documents. The fact I had no residential documents limited me to a lot of things including transportation. It was not easy for me. I kept on believing in God after prayer intervention at the OPM – that God will change my situation. And truly he did, I’m grateful to God that I got a lovely job, my own car and my green card” she said.
Over the years, the OPM’s has stretched it appendages to accommodate a growing Houston populace. For instance, In June 2014, Apostle Dr. Chibuzor Chinyere inaugurated the city’s second branch on 3820 South Dairy Ashford Road. Almost two years, it may be recalled, that the OPM opened its first Houston branch now on 10901 Bras Bend/Creek Bend Drive, on South-West.

Calls of testimonies at the OPM are like a trademark. Videos of confessions and testaments are posted all over the social media outlets while most other beneficiaries of God’s Blessings come to the church events to share their experiences. One Sister Gifty narrated a reversal of her pregnancy complications. She said, “I have been pregnant for 14 months, during the 14 months I went through a lot of stress and pain. To be honest, it wasn’t easy for me, until when I came to OPM for the first time during the night vigil service. The pastor prayed for me and anointed me. He asked the whole church to gather round and pray for me. The following week I delivered safely to a bouncy baby just like the Hebrew women.”

In a similar situation, a cancer-survivor, Bro Gregory said he was diagnosed with cancer, and was going through chemotherapy when he received prayers from the pastor and also took the blessed water from church with faith. He continued, “I kept on praying and to the glory of God and to the shame of the devil I am cancer free, my Doctor had to confess to me that this is a miracle, because he couldn’t believe what had happened. Today I don’t have to go to the hospital for cancer treatment. I am healed and healthy, happy and strong –  may the Lord’s name be praised.”

Houston’s `global and multi-cultural appeal have attracted varieties of ethnic development worldwide, and OPM knew that. According to the United States Census Bureau, Houston, with 2.3 million residents, is the fourth most populous city in the United States, trailing only New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. The city is the largest in the South and the Southwest, holding the highest number of African immigrants with Nigeria being the most prominent. According to Apostle Chibuzor (regularly called Daddy by church members), “I am fascinated by the City’s growth over the years, and the fact that our people are vastly populated here. Saving the children of God from societal ills; redeeming businesses from recessions, and winning as many faiths and souls for God are my ultimate mission, and that explains why we already have two branches in Houston.”

May 22 revival and deliverance service would feature praise-worshipping, sermons, and a long awaited one-on-one counselling sessions with the General Overseer. Apostle Chinyere would dedicate this day for Houstonians.  “I would see everybody that needs counselling, one-on-one; and take time to share the message with them. That is the way God has directed me at this time” he said.
“We shall also be ready to hear testimonies to justify the power and presence of God during our worshiping and deliverance periods. As always, that is the moment I cherish most; the moment when people reveal how their lives are transformed through the healing powers of the Holy Ghost; when people using walking canes jump up and start walking without any support; when barren women regain their wombs after our prayer assignments – Just go to our website and see videos of testimonies of how people even here in Houston are saved from life tragedies, and desolations, and other unsolved mysteries,” Apostle Chinyere said.

OPM was founded in on April 23 2006 with a few Christian followers, but today, the population has been overpowering and has spread across Africa, Europe and North America. In Port Harcourt branch alone, there are more 800,000 members, and this number grows by the day. The facility on New Airport Road by Eliozu Junction, Port Harcourt has also been turned to a healing ground as people with various forms of sicknesses and other life challenges now rush to the church to receive their healings. It has become one of the most popular and fast growing churches, not only in Rivers state but across the Niger Delta region and beyond.

With more than  100 branches across Nigeria and worldwide, OPM  has also become a rallying point for people with diverse problems, sicknesses and diseases as the healing, deliverance, and emancipating power of God prevail to intervene in their challenges. The ministry has also investment in schools and remedial job training centers where admissions, tuitions, and other services are free. “We do not take from the poor; we take care of the poor,” Apostle Chinyere said. According to Apostle Chinyere, “It does not make any sense to build schools that only the affluent people can attend. That is not godly – if the poorest churchgoer cannot benefit from the same church where he or she worships, then something is not right.”

In February 20, Apostle Chinyere and the OPM in Nigeria coordinated the wedding of 140 couples including a 72-year old man with his 60-year old spouse. The motive was both spiritual and socially humanitarian. For instance, the ministry gave them money to pay bride price; bought wedding suits and gowns including shirts and tie for all the grooms; paid for marriage certificate and paid for food and drinks that were used for their reception.

According to Apostle Chinyere, “Every day I get sleepless night because of the amount of people living together when God has not joined them. It is a sin before God. Do you know that; one out of every five people you see in the street are living together without being religiously or legally married? So that is why I decided to intervene, so when Rapture occurs, they shall not be found wanting. What is a church building when the people inside the building have visa to go to Hell-fire. Salvation is better than beautiful church building. Now I can sleep well knowing that extra 140 souls have been added to the kingdom of God.”

The Sunday, May 22 reinforcement crusade and one-on-one counselling will take place on 10901 Braes Bend Houston, TX 77071. Event time is 8.00 prompt. For more information, please call 281-757-3574 or 832-475-6667.
