The popular City Hall Farmers Market returns for the fall season on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, and then continues each Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. through December 14.

“The farmers market is a great opportunity to pick up farm fresh produce and locally prepared ready-to-eat or packaged to-go foods,” said Mayor Sylvester Turner. “There is also music, making it a fun way to enjoy the lunch hour with friends and coworkers.”

More than 30 vendors will feature items such as fresh produce grown by local farmers, cheeses, breads, coffee and a variety of prepared meals. Food trucks will be stationed along the perimeter of City Hall.  This week’s entertainment will be offered by D-J Johnny J.

The farmers market is co-produced by Urban Harvest and the Mayor’s Office of Special Events.

Downtown residents and employees are encouraged to walk, take the Greenlink (the free downtown shuttle) or ride a bike via Houston Bike Share to the Farmers Market. Parking is available in the garage at 400 Rusk or at meters on the street.
